Route Driver Assistant / Support Technician

Job Summary:

DataShield is looking for a dependable Route Driver support person. This position may be a fit if you enjoy knowing what you will do every day, are patient and methodical, have strong attention to detail and like structure in your work day. The majority of the Assistant Service Tech’s time is spent following a process to complete the day’s assignments as well as continued training and experience to become a Service Technician.

Job Duties:

Ride along with Service Technicians and support functions and daily assignments
Provide a high level of customer service along side DataShield Service Technicians
Routes require some travel, approximately 4 overnight stays per year
Route shifts run from 8 – 10 hours per day, Monday through Friday
Provide confidential security services to DataShield customers with a focus on customer service
Maintain accurate route records, customer documents and daily service records
Operate industrial equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts
Assist with loading and unloading trucks

Qualifications:

Must be 18 years’ old
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Ability to routinely lift, push, or pull 50 lbs.
Ability to complete the work assigned in an effective and efficient manner
Ability to interact professionally with customers and employees
Strong attention to detail
Professional appearance

Compensation: $16.00 – $19.50 per hour
