We have a great interest in Omaha and are passionate about finding ways to give back to the community that has enabled DataShield to thrive. Through our community outreach initiatives, DataShield has been a positive influence in Omaha not only within the business community but also for its residents. Here are just a few of the projects we are currently involved in:

2016 Shred Events

DataShield is partnering with local sponsors for our upcoming shredding events. Our community sponsors allow DataShield’s electronic recycling and paper shredding services to be at no cost for event participants.

DataShield is hosting Shred, Right Omaha! is a FREE public event where anybody can bring their documents to be securely shredded. We are also taking computer towers, laptops, server blades (no monitors), and cell phones. All of these electronic devices contain data that will be securely shredded.

Community Involvement

The Eastern Nebraska Community Office of Retardation and Developmental Disabilities – ENCOR

ENCOR OmahaEvery person owns a heart, a soul and the right to be treated with respect.

ENCOR offers a variety of services to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. They provide a living and working environment where socialization, self esteem and personal fulfillment are a way of life. In 1990 they started the Central Area Recycling Exchange (CARE) program which is operated by ENCOR employees and participants.

ENCOR has partnered with DataShield to take the CARE program to the next level. The partnership will provide secure, certified services to existing ENCOR customers as well as bring new business opportunities to the CARE program allowing the program to continue growing.  ENCOR will utilize DataShield to upgrade shredding services they currently provide, thus improving security with our AAA NAID Certification.  Additionally, customers will have access to DataShield’s full suite of services not previously offered by CARE.
